'Twould be nice to be able to see the entirety of conversations, all in_reply_to parents and children, without having to click and remember.
If performance is an issue, could limit it to only X levels of children, but it's pretty imperative to be able to get back to the post which started the conversation.

It is very likely that the local node does not have all of the updates in the conversation chain, and thus not have the ability to render them. Salmon updates merely give you a url to the update. I'm not sure how to get the actual content without pulling the feed from every participant and select a single update. If there was a way to pull a single update, then it might be fairly easy, and useful, to pull at least a couple in the chain to the local node.

Sure, you also won't even get salmon updates of all side threads, etc, but you can show what you have as a start :)
