Follow Button Missing When Logged-in via Facebook

When logged in via Facebook, the profile page contains the <div id="follow"> and <div class="follow-status"> tags, but the form containing the subscribe link is missing. Attempting to piece the URL together does not help either, returning 404's; in fairness, I did not POST, just GET.
